Scholarships

ELIGIBILITY

The OVSS determines scholarship eligibility by a dancer's participation in performance events and fundraising opportunities. A dancer must participate in at least one performance or fundraiser in a given year.

The amount of scholarship money a performer receives is based on their level of participation. The more events a dancer participates in, the more scholarship money they will receive. This is intended to promote participation and eliminate subjectivity. Click here for full details regarding Minimum Participation Requirements.

Scholarship funds can only be used to pay for educational expenses outside of a student's usual classroom instruction. This is to promote diversification of instruction. 

Over the last 24 years, the OVSS has handed out more than $25,000 in scholarship money.
